What does Lord Voldemort do in his spare time?
Imagine in an alternate reality, Voldemort has taken over the world and there are none to oppose him.
Now he has control and is immortal, what exactly does he do?
I always wondered this... thoughts of Voldemort making his own chat show, playing table tennis with Lucius, etc. come to mind. I can imagine him writing his own Autobiography... "Secrets of a dark lord, the story of how a prodigy took over the world"... then I imagine things like "Voldemort's hair care series" etc.
Also, does Voldemort eat and sleep? And what is his house like? I imagine, as a hoarder, he has many collectibles. He probably has every Voldemort figurine there is!

That’s a good question. Even creatures of unimaginable evil have to have habits, preferences, and everyday lives. The biggest reason we don’t hear about them is that every added detail makes them less scary, because it ties them to the real world we already know.
Have you read The Lord of the RIngs? When the black riders first show up, they’re utterly terrifying. Here’s all we know: they’re clearly unnatural. Everyone is uneasy when they’re nearby. They can hunt you by your smell. And when they scream, every person within earshot falls on their face in terror. As the story goes on, every new thing we learn about them subtracts from that scariness.
You’ll notice that we have no idea what Sauron does with himself all day. Rowling handled Voldemort the same way: we know very little, but what we do know is terrifying.
If you were writing the Harry Potter books, I’d advise you not to go into any detail about Voldemort’s daily grind, because you’d need him to stay scary and threatening in order for the series to work. However, that’s not an issue now, so you can do as you please. Filling in these interesting gaps is one of the traditional reasons to write fanfic.
He likes little boys. Thought everyone knew that. Duh!

I haven’t wondered what Voldemort does once he rules the world, but what happens while Harry Potter is…you know, being himself. I can imagine him just sitting in his house (btw, it’s either a castle in the middle of nowhere, or a run-down shack
lol ) and reading some books or magazenes, catching up on the world :p torturing Wormtail, maybe. Or ordering people to make him ham sandwiches.
If he took over the world, I think he’d just sit up on a black throne all day with a ring of fire surrounding him. He’d construct holidays designed for torture, and there’d also be a holiday where they celebrate the death of Harry Potter.
I mean you figure since he has so many followers, he wouldn’t have much to do himself.

Voldemort has a huge mansion simply for the sake of making his Death Eaters clean it. He is not a hoarder, his house is actually very sparse and clean. He has a house-elf who he loves dearly.
In his spare time, Voldy likes to paint pictures of snakes. He also likes to watch 90210, Gossip Girl, and America’s Next Top Model. He likes to Facebook and Skype, and he often goes to the beach to attempt to get a tan, which of course never really works.
He knits evil jumpers.
