I cannot think of this 1980's bear family!?

i cannot think of these bear figurines that came out in the 80's. they were something "family" and all the bears had moving arms and legs with clothes on. they weren't the berenstein bears or care bears--they were a little bit more obscure. if anyone can remember the name of those bears please let me know. they were highly collectable amoung little girls. i think that they might have even had a cartoon too. help, it's driving me nuts!
i remember it being something really sappy, like "tenderheart family" or something similar. thanks for all the great answers so far.

    Mapletown?? Had animal families like Bears, and Rabbits. I can picture the commercial for it. Have it on VHS somewhere.

    I was thinking maple town, but then i thought of Sylvanian Family… it was similar & had a bear family like you described. Did that help?
