How do I sell Bradford collectibles of firehouses & dalmation figurines if I don't use eBay…?

...or amazon.com?
I have a valuable collection of firehouses from the Bradford Mint collection -1992, all 8 in mint condition.
In addition, I have a dalmation collection of curious & mischievious firehouse dogs - 1994, 7 in mint
condition. Amazon.com has a sellers program that is too steep in monthly pricing. eBay charges a listing
fee, which you have to pay, despite the results. I've listed these items twice with no sales, so I am in
the hole financially. Is there another way to sell items on line?

You could put up fliers for your yard sale or go to craft fairs. These Internet sites simplify much, but only by their rules. Other Internet sites available are Craiglist and their imitators, but they are less efficient at the knick knack sales.

There are lots of competitors to ebay that do not charge listing fees. Here’s 3 – http://www.bonanzle.com, http://www.ecrater.com, http://www.blujay.com.

You could also try craig’s list or see if your local newspaper has a website with classified listings.

Ebay is currently running a promotion for free listings if they are auction style starting at 99c or less. I assume you listed previously with a ‘buy-it-now’ rather than auction-style. Using auction style will definitely create a sale but I suspect you would get much less than you want.

Bradford collectibles from the 1990s do not sell well currently. They have lost much of their original value. You may simlpy be asking more than the current market can stand. You may want to consider if you would take less or maybe hold them until values improve.

    Good luck!

You don’t have to sell figurines online at all honestly. I always try locally before resorting to online methods. This tends to get me a higher payout. Try local publications or services that allow you to list items to sell. It works better than you might think despite the internet age we’re in with ebay and the like.
