Have you ever thought your kid had a wild angel watching over him/her?
Last night my 9 year old son slept for the first time backwards in his bed. His head was where his feet usually are. Why? Who knows, it was just a random last minute decision he made and I didn't see the harm.
Well at about 3am last night a shelf that was hung above the head of my sons bed gave out and came down with a HUGE crash. There were books, figurines, and trophies on it. On it's way down it took out another cabinet that was hanging above his fish tank right beside his bed. It really is a miracle the tank didn't bust with all that came down on it. My son only had a tiny scratch on his foot but his entire bed was covered with stuff from the shelf.
What was it that made him decide to sleep that way? He can't say. Had he been sleeping normally, he most definitely would have got a bump on the head if not worse. As it was, he was scared out of his wits waking up like that. Poor thing. Anything like that ever happen to you?

I think my son 2 year old has someone watching out for him all the time. I am surprised he hasn’t gotten stitches yetlol. that is pretty wild. Not too much ever happens to me. My aunt was driving my cousin to football practice and unfortunately he was not wearing his seat belt but he decided he was going to put his helmet on before he got there and boom, they got into an accident and he flew into the windshield, wearing his helmet. he was fine.
The pastor to the church i went to when i was little got into a bad car accident, his car rolled. everything was crushed except for what was above his head. he climbed out the back through the hatch since the doors were messed up and it all caved it.
holy cow. thats pretty incredible and amazing. i would say your son has someone watching out for him.
i havent experience anything like myself of with my kids that i can recall but your story gave me chills.
Stuff like this happens to me occasionally. No one ever really knows why we decide to leave a few minutes later and end up missing that car accident we could have been a part of…no one knows why we decide to sleep that way one night so that something horrible doesn’t happen. No one ever knows why we can’t sleep one night and wake up early in the morning knowing that something had happend.
I would just be happy, as i am sure you are, that he decided to sleep the "wrong way" in his bed last night..because sometimes that feeling comes over you…and you are right!! Hopefully he keeps on having those feelings and following through with them
He has a guardian angel watching over him… He’s a lucky little guy
I get chills from stories like this one because of my strong belief in beautiful beings watching over us at all times. My son is currently going through the process of being diagnosed with Autism and is unable to distinguish between safety and danger. There have been countless times where MamaBear and I were left scratching our heads in disbelief at how he escaped certain injury. I can’t explain how this happens and quite frankly I really don’t need to. Just knowing that they are their and experiencing their overflowing love and kindness is enough for me.
Very cool story.
Sure , I believe in angels and maybe his angel just gave him a nudge to want to sleep upside down. Its entirely possible.
your son does have someone watching over him! your story gave me goose bumps. amazing.
and yes, this kind of thing has happened to my boys. there was one time when my 5 year old (then 3) climbed up the dining table and decided to jump to the couch a couple of yards away. he wouldn’t have made it! i was sleeping on the chair next to the couch when i heard my dad scream "GOTHIKA!!!!" –and i snapped awake, seconds before my boy jumped so i could run up and catch him in my arms before his head would’ve hit the floor.
btw…my dad had been dead for a few months when that incident happened.
yes, our children are being watched and taken cared of by spirits, i believe that. it could be angels. but in my sons’ case, i believe it’s their grandpa.
you have one lucky and very much loved boy.
HOLY CRAP!
That is amazing. I’m so glad he was okay!
I feel like I have had stuff like that happen to me but I just can’t remember any specific events. Its so weird though…
he has someone over him
Its my dad. Hes like that. He looks out for the little ones.
I’ve never had anything like that happen to my daughter yet (knock on wood) but it happened to me one time.
I was 19 and a freshman in college. I had just got this new car, which I was in love with…and I never wore my seat belt. One morning I was running late, and had to stop by my boyfriend at the times house because I had left a book over there. When I climbed in the car, for some unknown reason, I put my seat belt on. To this day I have no idea why I did. I was driving a little to fast on wet roads, and while going around a curve, I lost control of the car. My car ended up flipping twice, and everything that wasn’t buckled down in the car ended up thrown everywhere. If I hadn’t have had my seat belt on, I would have died, I’m sure. Makes me wonder sometimes just exactly WHY I choose that day to wear one.
Of course, now, I always wear my seat belt.
A lot of children and adults have angels watching over them. Kids and teenagers especially seem to have angels watching over them and protecting them working over time. I’ve worked with children a lot, and I’ve been around kids that have done everything from jumped off roofs of apartment complexes to drank concoctions that would kill an adult, and they survive. Stop and think about all of the crazy things that you did as a child and a teenager. All the mishaps, accidents, and strange phenomenons that occurred. It’s no wonder that anyone lives past the age of 20!
As for my own angel watching over me story, I was a teenager, and I was walking to the 99 cents store from my house. I always took the same path. I never tied my shoes, I always slid them on tied in triple knots (I hated bending over to tie my shoes). I was walking on the path to the store, my shoe came untied (first time it had come untied in over 3 years) and I bent over to tie it just as a car speeding by, lost a hub cap and it flew and hit the brick wall where my head would have been had I not bent over to tie my shoe.
